magnified marriages

i am not such a reluctant blogger anymore it seems. the blog bug is hitting me hard. i am always thinking of what to blog about. it’s almost silly now. when i am driving “blog,” before i sleep “blog,” before and after i pray for my meals “blog,” while i am in the bathroom “blog,” or in the office elevator “blog!!!!” Isabella Fabregas, Jourdan Sebastian and Joey Bonifacio what have you done to me!!!!

the subject however was not difficult today. i received a text from a dear friend to read the papers this morning, namely the entertainment section. i did as i was asked and my heart sank. it is the article regarding marriage difficulties of our friends Dennis and Marjorie. since they are celebrities they had to clarify some nasty rumors regarding 3rd parties and the real score. not only are they celebrities but they have just been involved in a successful political campaign. congratulations marj!!! but that also adds to them being a target.

THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS, SO MANY HAVE SIMILAR SITUATIONS (even this “king of my house” does, . . . occasionally, . . . every hour or so only :-D) IN OUR CHURCH FAMILY HERE IN METRO MANILA OF 20 THOUSAND PLUS. sadly, but because it’s Dennis and Marj, it’s headline news. FOR THOSE INVOLVED IN THE PRESS, PLEASE HEAR ME OUT. THERE ARE OTHER YOUNG LIVES INVOLVED, PLEASE CONSIDER THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU DIG AND PLAN FURTHER.

this reluctant blogger is glad he is just “king of my house” an not a celebrity (who are at times “kings of the world”). as one of their pastors and as friends, we are standing with them in prayer and encouraging them through this “winter season” in their lives, just like we would any other church member facing crisis in their lives.

it becomes much more challenging for high profile people doesn’t it? we all experience the same things, but not with the rest of the world watching. lets continue to stand in prayer for our arts & media friends in church for God’s wisdom, strength, favor and peace on them as they trudge through this “wonderful life,” wanting to please God like the rest of us.

Yes Julius ,it is indeed sad to hear such news. Though a couple of days ago i was seated beside someone inside the bank who was reading a tabloid w banner that read the couple are separating.I dismissed it w a smirk and thought ,what will they think of next, but this morning rickylo and behold the banner of his column complete w a picture of the couple torn into half. Well this things do happen.Im praying that they both hear Gods voice to help them find the right thing to do. To Dennis and Marj we want you to know that u have a spiritual family who is standind w u.No we dont have any oppinion about what u are going through, we just want u to know that we are praying for u.

thx julius, for your faithful ministry to and through arts & media. and, thx for standing in faith with dennis & marj and others who are struggling. i am glad i have friends who will pray for me and stand with me even when things seem to be falling apart. church is not a place for perfect people, but a place where imperfect people can get help, and where they can get God.

Julius - I know I’m coming in 6 months late on this entry but I want to say you hold a special place in my & Usha’s heart. We thank God for those like you who stand with those in the arts & media who are struggling through their walk with God.

    Hi Sir Julius,

I’m Planning to have a christian concert hopefully this December or January in Araneta or any big place to accomodate a big crowd. I hope you don’t mind if I’ll ask for your email address and contact nos. where i can pass my proposal about the plan. I need people like you to help me coordinated with other christian artists to support this event, and help reach out more people in the entertainment and arts through this evangelistic and thanksgiving concert. I’ve been praying for this project for years already and I know the right time and provisions of God has come! I plan to donate part of the proceeds also to our Talents, Inc. Ministry, CBN ASIA, PJM, Celebrate Jesus & Rise-UP Philippines to help advance the kingdom of god through these ministries…I do hope you can help me with vision.

    Thank you.

    Truly yours,
